also as a chinese, pls dont claim xinyan as black.

i have always hated how ppl can go around and draw asian characters as black. but when ppl do the reverse they get hate.

ppl claiming xinyan as black is just as bad. darked skinned chinese exist. they’re our ppl, not yours.

i don’t want to compare our lifes or what. but please.

a lot of people always complain about now having representatives in genshin. and thats ok. but xinyan is supposed to represent darker skinned chinese people, who’d often get treated badly by the majority of ppl.

my father is one of those people, though luckily we live in indonesia where his skin color is really common so hes treated nicely.

i just felt like i need to say it that yes, they do exist.

xinyan isnt a rip off black made chinese character. she IS chinese.

idc if you want representation. that is completely your rights. but please don’t claim others representations as yours. it’s not cool. thanks.
