At the moment the best spin on the Australian Vaccines (non) rollout is that, statistically speaking, it has been so slow that few people have been put at whatever risk the AZ jab poses etc

The Australian economy is ~$1.3 trillion in size & yet the Federal Govt was simply too cheap to buy for a dispersed and pluralist population the most efficacious & least ethically problematic Pfizer & Moderna vaccines. Instead, Canberra went the cheap AZ option as 'good enough'.
