Video driver crashing in our game on @IntelGraphics . Reported test case, no shits given, they closed the forum topic

2/N
The @Steamworks Steam Overlay has been crashing our game on older Intel GPUs for years now. Reported the issue, nothing changed

3/N
@Razer Cortex has an FPS overlay that, when enabled, lowers the performance of the game by 70%, while the FPS counter is unreadable because flipped/inverted

The @discord overlay crashes the game on certain hardware configurations.

And so many other apps that inject themselves into the OpenGL dll and break stuff. Overclocking software, streaming software, too many to list.

Bottom line: there used to be a sweet spot in time where using OpenGL would get your game on most platforms. Not anymore. Use DirectX.
