definitely in love (secretly or otherwise) and after eppy died, to my knowledge paul kinda tried taking over which is one of the reasons everyone turned against him, but also after eppy died john met yoko, and paul and yoko were both kinda fighting for johns attention

and ofc i don’t know much about the late beatles yet but what if the reason paul tried to take control of things was not only to “save” the band and have a leader, but also to show john he could take control and show dominance? but because yoko was there, AND i know

allen klein was there, manipulating the others into turning against paul, paul couldn’t take over and save the band AND show john he could be everything he’s ever wanted in a partner
