✨wanted to clarify items needed at sweeps!✨
biggest needs year round are gear like tents, tarps, bungee chords, carts, etc;
lots of folks also currently ask for hand sanitizer and rubbing alcohol, blankets, and sleeping bags!
food is welcome for sure! yummy snacks like pop tarts, fruit snacks, and other individually packaged items work well and are easy for folks to take! please avoid bringing ingredients and produce that most folks can’t eat uncooked, there are 6 community fridges around Denver that
can always use some tlc! check out @denver_fridge for info on what you can and can’t donate, and where the locations are! be mindful of the food you’re bringing to sweeps and camps!
thanks to the amazing @kelsangv coffee and hot cocoa are covered for most sweeps! hot breakfast food is appreciated but it’s helpful to know the size of the camp getting swept so food doesn’t go to waste! if you can help distro food to camps/fridges after sweeps that is
super helpful! also reminder to donate to virya so they can supply coffee and much more. their venmo is @ ViryaUS-Kelsang

i know this isn’t a complete list and needs vary from camp to camp, but i hope this offers some clarity on items that are helpful to bring to sweeps! 💖
