THREAD: So, our last and first, laundry day turned into an overwhelming 2 days and nights but was so fulfilling! Seeing homeless folx walking out of the laundromat happy that they had clean bedding and clothes was heartwarming! THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HELPED MAKE THAT POSSIBLE! 1/

We came up with a different way to help homeless folx with getting their laundry washed and it being less of an overwhelming task and more of a helpful experience for all! We have spoken to many laundromats near homeless encampments and many have a laundry app or offer cards 2/

We're still working on solutions with laundromats that don't. We may just need to go fund those washes traditionally. But, the good news is that we can do more with less of us having to actually be present! However, it will require your help again! 3/

We will need your help to fund this. We have many folx reaching out to us that heard about the last/first laundry day. We would like to offer more folx in N. Portland and St. Johns the opportunity to clean their laundry. Funding will go to laundry cards/acct. Laundry soap 4/

I forgot to add the traditional handing out quarters for folx washing where no nearby laundromats have an app or card available. Your funding will include this option. We will have to be present to do this and be sure your funding helps fund every load needed.
