F1 drivers as different types of friends when you ask them for a ride, a thread:
LEWIS

He’s a chill driver. he’d probably ask you how your day was (and he’s really interested in your answer!). one of his playlists would probably be playing in the background for the whole ride. eyes always on the road, not a showoff. 100% recommended
VALTTERI

Most of the ride would be spent in a complete silence. no music, no conversation, zero, nada.
then he’d try to make a joke, not funny at all but you try and humour him anyways. a very awkward drive but at least you get home safe (kinda?)
MAX

With Max you’d get home in ten minutes, during which he’d get at least two tickets for speeding. it’s not like he didn’t know where the speed cameras were, he just didn’t care. very questionable driving style, only recommended if you’re in a hurry
SERGIO

‘Un poco loco’ by Coco would be playing nonstop in the background. eyes always on the road, both hands on the wheel, he’s very easy to make conversation with so you’d probably end up talking about the aerodynamics of an egg. 100% recommended
DANIEL

Daniel would blast all the songs on his iPod — and he wouldn’t just sing along, he’d mimic too. yes, while driving you home. and then he’d force you to do the same. if you were having a bad day, singing your heart out to Salt-N-Pepa with him would make you forget about it
LANDO

You better start walking home. no matter how many GPS he’d try to set, you’d probably end up in a very creepy side road in the middle of nowhere. he’d just laugh it off, you’d have to call someone else to come to the rescue and save you both. not recommended
CHARLES

He’d always be late, mostly because he always forgets something essential back home. not as a disaster as Lando, but it’d take three different GPS to figure out how to orientate. after some occasional curses in italian and french eventually you’d get where you need to be
CARLOS

He talks and gestures A LOT. he’d probably start explaining to you how he managed to do a very difficult shot at golf. you didn’t ask, but you pretend to be interested anyways. when it’s not spanish music playing in the background, it’s the real madrid match comments.
PIERRE

Pierre speeds on and off track. all while carrying on a conversation with you. he’d probably honk at the car ahead of him while waiting in traffic as he doesn’t like to wait. he’s a showoff, so expect some little show from him when it’s safe to do so. cocky but safe(ish)
YUKI

Yuki would probably be early all the time. A very chill drive, he’d hum songs every now and then as they’re played on the radio. He doesn’t like traffic either — doesn’t honk but sighs a lot. Safe and always on time, very recommended (when traffic isn’t involved)
ESTEBAN

He’d probably offer you to drive his car (bonus points). Then he realises he forgot his car keys and you’re forced to call a taxi. Very sorry for the inconvenient, he promises to make up to you next time (he doesn’t). He’s a good company, just not a good chaperone
FERNANDO

‘You wanna see what this baby can do? Huh?’ and then he goes full throttle as you pray for your life. But he swears it’s safe, so you have to believe him for you own sake. Nevertheless, you don’t ask him for a ride ever again.
SEBASTIAN

He’s the only one you fully trust. makes sure you have your seatbelt on, drives like a grandpa but in a cool way. some 80’s bops would probably be playing in the background and you’d often hear him humming, but you don’t mind it. very chill, very safe, very recommended
LANCE

Lance would probably show up two hours late.
“Sorry, I couldn’t find my car keys.” he’d forgotten them in the car and he was looking anywhere but there. no wonder he’s esteban’s friend. still, he successfully tries to make amends by making jokes during the ride, mood 📈
ANTONIO

Antonio would probably be late too. not because he forgot something, but because he lost his scrunchie. Italians are safe drivers but not even-tempered so he’d probably yell at someone in italian asking them to hurry. nevertheless he’s very easy to make conversation with
KIMI

if you thought the ride with Valtteri was quiet, you don’t know Kimi. no conversation, no music on, only you silently praying for your life as Kimi overtakes yet another car. he always seems in a harry but he has nowhere to be. he doesn’t even say bye when you leave
MICK

Mick’s a smiley driver. very Seb-like, always safe and prudent and very patient when it comes to traffic. it almost seems surreal. he’s genuinely interested in the conversation and he asks you a lot of questions. a good driver and a good listener, very recommended
GEORGE

there isn’t a time you’ve seen George driving with both hands on the wheel. his arm would always be out of the window, and when it’s raining he keeps himself busy changing radio stations. a very chatty driver, very focused on the road even when it looks like he isn’t
NICHOLAS

Nicky is always smiley, even when he shows up late because he suddenly fell asleep on the couch while playing video games. Conversations with him are so interesting that you’re almost sorry to get out of the car. Very friendly, very nice, very recommended
