3 years ago today the Assad regime committed a war crime, targeting #Douma with chlorine, killing more than 40 Syrians, including children.

Our thoughts are with the victims.

Thorough @OPCW reporting confirmed the attack took place and all the evidence points towards Assad.
This is part of an abhorrent pattern of chemical weapons attacks, known to be carried out by the Assad regime.

There were 3 attacks in #Ltamineh in March 2017 and an attack on #KhanShaykhun with the deadly nerve agent, sarin on 4 April 2017. Dozens were killed & hundreds injured
There can be no impunity for chemical weapons use.

The UK is a leader in the international response to the use of chemical weapons, tasking @OPCW to attribute responsibility for their use.

We’ve also targeted the Assad regime using our own chemical weapons sanctions.
