I see three glaring problems with our justice system and why it fails victims of rape & abuse
1. #WereNotWorthIt The expense of investigation is high (my detective actually told me he didn't want my laptop my partner monitored & controlled as there was a "cost" issue

2. Misogyny in the police
Our cases our run mainly by men - mine was entirely When it was taken out of the hands of a diligent young officer & passed to a near retirement trainee detective it stopped going anywhere Their culture is shocking & women are simply being obstructed

3. Unaccountability The police appear to be accountable to noone other than themselves & they know it They're more concerned with protecting their failings than justice Victims are treated as the enemy for daring to complain and like me deliberately unsupported to silence us

All of this amounts to Maladministration which is criminal
Like in my case, despite complex & serious crimes deliberately ignoring of strict guidance to refer to CPS removes all chance of truly independent review unless you have the knowledge, strength & £ to go to JR

We need a truly independent inquiry into the police as a whole & the shocking performance in prosecuting rape & sexual offences I'm still waiting to hear if my petition has been accepted by Government If not a wider one on maladministration needs to happen! If blocked we know why

Until this happens men and boys including serving police officers will continue to terrorise women and get away with it Women will remain trapped with intimate partner rapists knowing they will lose everything if they go to the police Not only that humiliation, punishment & fear

Some women will die at the hands of their rapists Most of them in their own home It won't be recorded as a rape murder just a murder Even in death the truth won't be told as the best witness will be dead We need to stop this cycle This can not be tolerated anymore

Decriminalisation by the police of rape and sexual assault must stop! I say the police because it is them not our laws Our laws on rape and control are good The application of them is not!
