you cannot attract future happiness, peace, love etc ... if you’re dwelling in misery, chaos, and brokenness in the present tense. focus on what’s going good (even if it may seem minuscule) and more good will come.
I know that may be easier said than done. It’s okay to go through rough periods and experience the emotions that come with it... we’re human. but as you go through it .. actually grow through it. Feel it, then heal it. Do not sit and sulk in, allowing it to overcome you.
Something I learned to do that helps is separating myself from my emotions. Recognizing that although I may be experiencing sadness at the moment, it is just an emotion and that emotion is not me.
Affirmations too. Each day tell yourself (or better yet write down) something you accomplished. It can be simple as “I’m proud of myself for waking up early” ... “I’m proud of myself for taking a much needed break”
Affirmations help set positive intentions which ultimately become our reality.
Of course shadow work is needed to heal the traumas that give rise to our emotions & puts us in depressive states but ...perspective. the first step is acknowledging how you feel and wanting to heal it. knowing that although things may be rough rn, it will get better. claim it.
I kind of went off on a tangent lol but the moral of the story is I know sometimes our days may be somber but always look to the light, and more light will come.
I am in no way trying to be therapist or a healer. Just speaking from personal experience and what worked for me... which may possibly not be for you.
