a thread about what Filipinos are since i keep seeing so many people saying we’re someone we are not
first of all WE ARE NOT SPANISH. we may have similarities, but this is because we were literally colonized by Spaniards for a good amount of 333 years.
we also are NOT white. where did that concept even come from? also we were colonized by Americans so why tf would we call ourselves white
we also are NOT black. we may have tan skin but that doesn’t necessarily mean we are black, we are brown . brown is so much different than black.
pls just refer to us Asians . southeast asians in particular.
feel free to add more info in the replies about filipinos since this thread only explains what we classify as. filipino culture is very rich and beautiful so might as well share things about us :)
