Hey artists, I& #39;ve been noticing that many of you are stressed about sales lately. I think you should put things into perspective and take a deep breath :)

Quick thread about current market dynamics and why you shouldn& #39;t worry if your work doesn& #39;t sell instantly https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👇" title="Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten" aria-label="Emoji: Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten">
Between January and mid-march, we& #39;ve seen a huge wave of collectors enter the market and there was still a limited number of artists in the space, producing at a normal pace.

This led to frenetic purchases and inflated prices via bidding wars.
This encouraged artists to mint more often, sometimes less meaningful work, to benefit from the spike in demand.

An incredible number of new artists entered the space too in the quest for a quick payout, which grew the supply available disproportionately.
With a pool of sophisticated collectors that has grown more slowly and that is now calculating their moves as opposed to spraying and praying, it& #39;s led to longer sales cycles for artists.

But this is normal and healthy!
It can take months to sell a piece in a gallery, it& #39;s not normal that such a high percentage of artists was selling out within minutes every day.

Collection is all about finding art that speaks to you and that makes you feel something powerful. You can& #39;t find those every day!
So artists, don& #39;t stress if you haven& #39;t sold in a week or two, you are talented and you will have your claim to success here. Your collectors will find you!

Just give it time, this space moves fast and so does its conditions. Adapt, build for the long term, and be proud https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="❤" title="Rotes Herz" aria-label="Emoji: Rotes Herz">
