- So, why was Hex made in the first place? Simple!
- Hex was created as a result of a commission from one Rich Guy who felt lonely and wanted some companion,
for whatever reason he wants a robot buddy, so he commissions a high-profile robotics company for that.

- As company researches new features that could be added into the bot, a prototype is made, that prototype being Hex.
- However, The CEO gets greedy, because he realizes that with newly discovered features, they could make tons of money if they mass produced such solutions to mainstream robotics.
- As a result the commission contract gets terminated without Rich Guy& #39;s knowledge.

- With that, Hex is deemed obsolete, his power is drained out of him and he& #39;s put in a storage unit, lucky him though he was put right under a window so his solar panels pick up energy and he& #39;s alive again.
- With remaining strength, he escapes through the window and hides somewhere nearby, meanwhile Rich Guy checks on the project only to find out the whereabouts of the situation leaving dissapointed.
- However, while on his way back he finds Hex in a not so good condition, but upon realization that its the companion he commissioned Rich Guy takes him and they live together as close pals.
- Eventually, years pass and Rich Guy dies, while Hex is left with a ton of money but no friends, therefore he tries to engage in activities with lots of people to find someone who would want to be friends with him.
- He settles on joining local basketball team, since it was one of his favorite things to do with Rich Guy before he passed away. Due to his extraordinary abillities as a calculating machine, he got a bit of a fanclub too.
- Despite all that, Hex still didn& #39;t have anyone he could truly feel like buddies with, for example, another activity he would do with Rich Guy was karaoke, since he disappeared he stopped singing, that is, until he met Boyfriend at the park.
- Because of that one meeting, Hex found people he could truly call friends.
