I was in communication with a prospective client for Social media management service over the weekend.

But in the midst of the Easter celebration, I decided to take a short break.

The client reached out to me last night, and we completed the onboarding process.
I woke up to my full payment this morning (mind you, this was done on the basis of trust.)

Because I was not expecting the payment yet, I made some noise about it in the house, asking questions until I figured out the source.
My younger brother heard me and was curious to know why and how I received such payment this morning.

After explaining, he said "Please teach me"

Two lessons I learnt from this;

đŸ‘‡đŸŸ
1. Your results actually speak for you.

My brother is aware of what I do.( So I thought)

Atleast he sees me use my phone Everytime

He sees me stay up late on my system

He even knew when I started out as a volunteer (he even mocked me cos I wasn't getting paid then 😂)
But he has never been interested

Why?

Because he has never been around to see my results (in this case, my earnings)

Also, I don't make it a duty to be loud about it.

But just a simple credit alert, has gotten him interested

He has gone ahead to register for courses online
2. Never assume that people know it all

Never assume that people are aware

You can imagine the number of people just like my brother out there

Ignorant about what I consider a hobby

Always sell yourself

Sell your product

Sell your service

Be intentional about it.
Go all out with it

There are people that need to hear your voice

Like @RealNaijaGuy says, you are wicked if you have something that can help people and you keep it to yourself (paraphrased)

It could be your skills
Service
Knowledge
Experience
Whatever it is, be INTENTIONAL about selling it

And don't forget to back it up with result.

One more thing, don't despise your small beginnings and don't let the mockery of others stop you.

If he had joined me when I started, he would have been where I am
But it's not too late

Start now while you can

If you have already started,

Don't give up

Make a decision to continue despite the challenges

Have a good day!!
