Bisexuality is defined by attraction to multiple genders. Not dating them, not fucking them, not flirting with them. You’re a real bisexual even if you only date one gender. You’re a real bisexual even if you only flirt and never act on it.

We are all too old to still be doing this to each other especially when the rest of world doles out enough erasure as it is.

I saw a shirt the other day that said “bad bi representation” and I really want it because everyone’s idea of bi representation is still someone who openly dates an evenly distributed variety of genders and it’s fucking tired. It’s old. It’s boring. It’s vapid.

And as for femmes flirting with other femmes for attention: who cares. Literally who is it hurting. We can go on about the male gaze and performative femininity for hours but none of that is the fault of the people involved. You never know who is exploring their sexuality.

TLDR if someone says they’re bisexual then they are bisexual. You don’t get to decide that for them based on your own observations.
