My ideal summer transfer window for Arsenal.

I have drawn up six areas where Arsenal need to strengthen:
Striker
No.10/Attacking Midfielder
Central Midfielder
Right-back
Back-up left-back
Back-up Goalkeeper
Striker
No.10/Attacking Midfielder
Central Midfielder
Right-back
Back-up left-back
Back-up Goalkeeper
Striker: Arsenal need a new striker as neither Aubameyang nor Lacazette fit the bill for what Arteta wants from a striker. My choice would be Odsonne Édouard. Other options could include Patson Daka, Ivan Toney or Alexander Isak.
A new attacking midfielder/No.10. My preference would be to extend Ødegaard’s loan if possible like we did with Ceballos, however this might not be possible. If it isn’t possible I would look to sign Julian Brandt, Houssem Aouar or Emiliano Buendía.
A new central midfielder to partner Thomas Partey. Ideally someone with a good mix of dynamism and technical ability. My choice would be Franck Kessié from AC Milan. Other options could include Yves Bissouma, Boubakary Soumaré or Manuel Locatelli.
A new right-back is a priority as Héctor Bellerín simply isn’t the player he once was. My choice would be Achraf Hakimi, but other targets could include Tariq Lamptey, Max Aarons or Emerson Royal.
A competent back up to Kieran Tierney is required. Cédric and Maitland-Niles aren’t natural left-backs and Saka shouldn’t be wasted there. My choice would be Jordan Amavi but other options include Ryan Bertrand, Daley Sinkgraven and Josh Doig
A back-up goalkeeper for Bernd Leno is required as Rúnar Rúnarsson looks like a walking disaster between the sticks. A very risk-free sensible signing would be making Mat Ryan’s loan permanent for free.
I will now go through players who I think need to be sold in the summer.
As previously mentioned Rúnar Rúnarsson is a disaster between the sticks and even after only joining in the summer, I sense that his time is already up. I would accept anything for him, as we only signed him for very little so I wouldn’t be fussed if we didn’t make a profit.
As previously mentioned Héctor Bellerín’s time at Arsenal is also likely to be up in the summer, with many news outlets reporting that he has a verbal agreement with Arteta to leave this summer. He isn’t what he used to be and I would accept about £20m for him.
Sead Kolasinac who is currently on loan at Schalke is another player who needs moving on as he just isn’t good enough to stand in for Kieran Tierney. His deal is up next year too, so with that in mind I would accept around £10m for him.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles has never really found his best position. But at Arsenal, I don’t think he starts. I would sell to a club willing to offer around £15-£20m
Mohamed Elneny is another player I would look to move on. He just isn’t good enough for Arsenal. I would look to accept £10-£15m for him if an offer came in, although there are news reports that we are looking to extend his contract.
Lucas Torreira is another player who is surplus to requirements. He has openly said that he would like to return to South America in the summer, and to be honest I would let him, even if they can’t offer as much as European clubs.
Mattéo Guendouzi who is out on loan at Hertha is a notorious trouble maker, and only has one year left on his contract. He has bundles of talent, but unfortunately not the mentality to match. I would accept anything from £20m upwards.
Alexandre Lacazette is another player whose deal is up next summer, and despite some good performances recently, I would still be looking to move him on. I would accept anything from £25m upwards.
I would also look to to move Willian on, as he just hasn’t been good enough, and he is standing in the way of some of our youngsters. I would accept anything because we will make a profit as he came on a free.
Reiss Nelson is a very curious case. He has bundles of talent, but seemingly isn’t able to make use of it. With a bit of work, he could’ve become as good as Jadon Sancho, but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. I would accept offers of £20m+.
As much as I would like to see Nketiah succeed at Arsenal, unfortunately I just don’t think he will succeed at Arsenal. I have said before that I think a move to Brighton would be good for him. I would accept around £15m for him.
I think I calculated this to be around a £50m net spend based on my (innacurate) valuations, which I think would be feasible. If Arteta is fully backed this summer, I think we could be pushing the top 4.
