2/2 Politicians (incl. yours truly) are making a large number of critical decisions in the absence of this data and threading various narrow-eyed needles. Big movements are dangerous and are very difficult to course correct. Sharp turns take a slow steady hand.

3/2 there is also a deeper and more critical conversation about WHO is dying in which circumstances and which decisions actions more positively or negatively impact them.
