KETU IN MUSIC: A thread
ketu natives often touch on the subjects of detachment and nostalgia, reminiscent of the past and cynical of the future. i find a common patter with ketu natives is understanding their place in relationships in context of society.
while ketu natives are very detached from the conventions of society, they are hyperaware of the larger issues at play. which makes them afraid to be vulnerable, because as much as they love introspection, theyre not as fond of the deep and encasing feelings that come with it
the major theme here is escapism, rather through a falsified idea of love or completely shying away from the concept as a whole. i see this most in mula and magha natives.
mitski (mula moon) for example, is a beautiful songwriter who really embodies the heartbreak of the self realization once you hit a certain block within relationships. in “me and my husband” theres this eerie sense of unwavering devotion to something thats clearly a bandaid
over a bullethole. she knows things are falling apart and she remedies this by throwing herself completely into her marraige. the video above is fanmade, but i decided to share it because it really captures the essence of ketu and how they “burry” their demons
someone on tiktok spoke about how andré 3000’s Hey Ya is about the inevitable failure of armcandy, archetypical, relationships. and how the lyrics are actually quite sad when you read them. andrés mula moon is expressed perfectly here with ketus detached sentiment towards love
“you think youve got it, oo you think youve got it, but got it just dont get it when theres nothing at all. you get together, you get together but seperates always better when theres feelings involved. they always say nothing lasts forever so what makes (x8) love the excpetion?”
mula sun annie lennox sings Sweet Dreams, a song of similar context which dissects the true corruption of relationship patterns and what we’ve be socialized to expect or accept.
“sweet dreams are made of this”
she really anunciates that alot of what love is in today are simply dreams.
“everybodys looking for something.” Lennox herself stated that the song was about humanities constant seeking of fulfilment and the “never ending search for contentment”
magha moon Marinas entire album Electra Heart is about the polarity between the self when loved versus when abandoned, and the detachment from authenticity that she phases when met with the need to express desire. thus reverting to darkness “lights they blind me”
Marinas entire album is about escapism, especially through the playing through multiple archetypes or identities. she does this to ultimately avoid her inner turmoil
in her previous album The Family Jewels she touches on her lack of fulfillment and how she actively seeks it outside of relationships because she doesnt believe in them or their elasticity in songs like “Are You Satisfied?” and “Oh No!”
“tv taught me how to feel, now real life has no appeal”

many ketu natives are prone to fantasies and illusions because their comprehension of the astral is so intense. theyre always looking to intensify their senses, whether good or bad. their expectations surpass “reality”
her song ‘Fear and Loathing’ is about liberating herself from that consumptive feeling like nobody can be trusted, in counter to Outkasts embracing of such. the visual here really stands out for me, as she strips herself in the most white (yang) space looking ketuvian as ever
this represents her vulnerability being broken open for the world to see, something many ketu natives actually struggle with. ketu has no idea what to do with itself when in love, because comfort is the best accomplice to compliance, but detachment cannot withstand partnership
mula sun Didos most renowned record “Thank You” also touches on the themes of love and loss, and how ketu natives can actually supplement their emptiness with relationships, in her video she is literally being removed from her home but all she can think about is her lover
“your picture on my wall, (it) reminds me that its not so bad, its not so bad”

this song reveals the nature of those inner fears of ketu natives harbour between losing themselves in love and vulnerability against their pessimistic view of society
mula moon amy winehouses “love is a losing game” really captures not only the sentiment but the element of ketu, “for you i was a flame” @cn0bles has talked about how ketu means “flame” in the past, and amy relays how fiery and engulfing the feelings of love can be for ketuvians
tears dry on their own is another really cool microcosm of ketuvian energy because ketu in a way, feeds off the sun, and this song makes an analogy to the separation from her lover to be “the sun go(ing)es down, him taking the day” is a metaphor for how lifeless and dark she
feels without him. which she recentres too in the renowned “back to black” where we see yet ANOTHER funeral/death reference where amy is mourning her loss and coming to terms with this idea that shes retorts to and is thus made for darkness. “i died a hundred times”
major themes in seeing in these videos are mirrors and screens, black and white contrast, letting go (losing/mourning things), cryptic men in long black coats, impeding doom and sorrow, chaos and abandoned looking motel rooms
ashwini moon selena gomez shows the contrast of this detachment which is total indulgence, funny enough she mentions being “lit up like venus” which alludes to her sense of secutity in that indulgence, even when she knows good and well that the relationship is a disaster
later, she says “this is a modern fairytale, no happy ending, no wind in our sail. but i cant imagine a life without breathless moments taking me down”

where in which she acknowledges her idealistic views cannot be met but shes so addicted to it shes radically lost in it https://twitter.com/gr4vyrd/status/1378923215590981634
ashwini moon nicole scherzinger also captures ketus issues with totally putting their eggs into one basket, stick wit u reveals how fantastical ketu natives can be but in a much more upbeat way then the past artists. more abandoned hotel rooms
however nicole redeems this sense of detachment and independence in spite of love with “i dont need a man” which is pretty self explanatory
this song “hush hush” emphasizes the realization of her false sense of self based on her attachment in that relationship, she eventually reverts to her detached self again, silencing the threat to her silent. “i dont know why you think youve got a hold on me ”
mula sun magha moon hayley williams (of paramore) also really embodies how ketu concieves at a young age of love to be like a fairytale, they are the epitome of “your parents are the first to break your heart,” she says “ive got a tight grip on reality but i cant let go of whats
in front of me here. i know you’re leaving in the morning, when you wake up leave me some kind of proof its not a dream.” <\\3 theme of dreaming comes up again and she is haunted by the knowing the intense feelings wont last
kelly clarksons (ashwini sun) ‘because of you’ goes deeper into this idea of the dysfunctional family unit imposing a negative view (especially involving the father) of relationships onto her in her younger years
back to magha marina, her song “shampain” is a song about getting wasted off of a boundless fantasy, she talks about emptiness and loneliness as if theyre company, where sleep which entails bliss isnt her friend. the title is a play on words “shame” and “pain”
“drinking shampain, meant for a wedding toast to the bride, a fairytale ending” making a satirical juxtaposition to how her celebration has become sorrow, much like how we get when we are consumed by false ideas of love
magha rising and mula moon freddie mercury displays the yearning of the black hole that is ketu for ‘somebody to love’

“each morning i wake up and die alittle, can barely stand on my feet”

again referencing the lifelessness and emptiness ketu can feel
magha sun michael jackson also sings about the deception of love in smooth criminal where he basically sets things through the viewpoint of a detective solving a homicide, he is dressed in all white with a black smokey background just like many of previous mentioned ketu natives
