I am the “Ushiromiya” Family Alchemist, The “Golden Witch” & The “Endless Witch” Beatrice. Each one of those titles actually symbolizes Beatrice's psyche and the motivation behind the drastic change in the original exam rules.
First of all, Beatrice asks battler to say his name, and argues that he is not worthy of that name. He spread mud on it for a long time, leaving the family because of a tantrum, unlike his cousins who stuck with their families through their hardships.
This leads to the second sin, because of his inability to remember his promise to Yasu, he didn’t understand her worldview, and he didn’t try to understand his family’s hardships through her, therefore leaving them to their final demise without love.
That's why Battler is not qualified to stand in the face of “Ushiromiya Lion” and claim he is a family member. Who is one without an identity, without a family or a set of principles that guides him, can he truly proclaim he is anything with substance and dignity to the title?
Also, is battler worthy of being an “Endless Witch”?, since he is the original writer of these events, can he truly proclaim these were the original intentions of the author, to judge him for playing around with his promises and identity, will that be enough for redemption?
and as a “Golden Witch”, does he understand love in a true sense? Does he understand the responsibility of being an understanding member of the Ushiromiya? The family title itself holds unimaginable meaning and depth to Yasu that battlers couldn’t hope to understand.
This is the Sin of “Ushiromiya Battler” in a true sense, The reason why he can’t go back to Ange and call himself a “brother” to her, since he still thinks he is not worthy of being a member of this family anymore, especially when he didn’t try to understand a single one of them
Everyone of the siblings was portrayed as someone who is full acknowledgement of the generosity their mother and father showed them, each and every fight was filled with parental appreciation, except battler, as he didn’t apologize for anything.
And the most devastating detail of the portrayal of his sin, is that battler is standing alone right now, since originally the family is dead at the time of writing, and he is just judging his former way of life and identity. What makes you “You”? Not knowing is a sin in itself.
