Shaman King 2001 vs Shaman King 2021.

Episode 1:
2001 version wins for me.
Even though the art is what it is, pacing of the story was better in the old version.
Manta's school mates are actually nicer to him.
There's something disjointed about the new, even though it is essentially telling the same story.

Episode 2:
This is hard.
As much as the 2001 version dwelt a lot more on the relationship between Amidamaru and Yoh, didn't really add anything more than we already knew.
So, 2021 version wins this episode for me.
And the epic revealing of Anna with that glare and slap

Episode 3:

So, I've had to watch more of the 2001 version to get the story line in the same sort of place.
2001 version fleshed our the Ren vs Yoh fight more (they actually fight twice).
Anna's character remains the same in both versions. (1 of 3)

We actually get to see Yoh train in the 2001 version (hence why it's longer).
Ren's sister Jun also attacks Yoh more than once in the 2001 version.
The 2021 show giving us a shorter tale on the story. (2 of 3)

The 2001 version had 64 episodes and 2021 version slated to have 52 episodes.
I don't know if we'd be getting more out of this year's version towards the end.
But until then, 2001 version wins this round. (3 of 3)

Episode 4:

The 2021 version has taken a different direction to the 2001 version so this would be the end of this thread.
I will still be watching both versions but will wait till it ends to filly dissect.
