In Turn of the Golden Witch, Beatrice gave hints about a man who was able to explain how the world was constructed, he explained everything in the world with love, the single element. The year that man was born eventually came to be known as anno domini.
This undoubtedly refers to Jesus Christ. Jesus put love at the center of the Law, and following that Law was an apocalyptic necessity. His ethical teachings called for forgiveness, not judging others, loving enemies, and caring for the poor.
Beatrice was heavily enamored with biblical teachings (Maybe due to her interactions with Maria) or because it was the main religion for this family. So when she was faced with hardships, her world view also depended on the bible to find meaning in life and knowledge.
Beatrice despised knowledge, as it was the reason for kicking out Adam and Eve from heaven and turning them into “Humans”, in her mental narrative you cannot become something more than human unless you refrain from acquiring knowledge.
This might have roots in her childhood, as Yasu did find beauty in not knowing more, and thought that mystery novels were more beautiful if you didn’t know the answer. The “Culprit” would also become a “Witch”, something more than “Human”.
Yasu enjoyed not knowing about the feelings of others, this barrier of knowledge held special meaning for her, more than staring into the truth. She always yearned for something more than human, that bypasses the boundaries of the cage of flesh.
That’s why Yasu is able to forgive the past, and accept the now, she despises knowledge, and thinks that love deteriorates the more lovers know about each other. Her role model in every step of the way was Jesus and his teachings of love and forgiveness.
So in here she is portrayed in his image, as a person who tried to spread his teachings of love, while generously giving people an opportunity to repent through her writing. She did not just become a plotline murderer because of the epitaph, it was always something more.
This is the reason Battler’s forgiveness at this moment was more Impactful than anything for her, as it was something rooted deeply in her character. Battler forsaken his knowledge of the past and the sins, and accepted all of beato of the now, not the past.
It was the ultimate saving grace, as someone who could forgive all sins, but haven’t gotten the chance to be forgiven herself. It gave her reassurance that Ushirmoiya Battler was the correct choice, and she was finally able to be forgiven and loved, and rest in peace.
Another thing i would like to add is that Claire accepted being brought into the orphans's house because it was God's Salvation due to the naming fukuin (Gospel/Bible)
Wanted too add how this has been such a defining moment of Beatrice's broken faith after she held it in for so long, believing every hardship she faced was a trial from god, only to not get any reward in the end. Not being rewarded for love was a main theme in the halloween party
