How to fire your boss - a thread ✨
Workers are being threatened by corporations like Amazon for demanding better conditions/the right to unionise. So here are some direct actions that have been used successfullly, even without a formal union organisation!
#UnionYes
1. Good Work Strike
Strike, but be nice to the public! In 2018, bus drivers in Okayama covered fare machines & gave people rides for free. Imagine: Japanese customer service, all on the house╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

2. Sitdown Strikes
Look no further than what students at Pimlico Academy have achieved by simply refusing to be in class & just sit tight in the schoolyard. See also: @GretaThunberg (but imagine if there are >10000 Gretas...) https://twitter.com/SouthwarkNotes/status/1377214740259340291
Earlier this year, Vietnamese drivers for Grab (a company similar to Uber) collectively shut down their app and gathered in front of Grab's Hanoi office to protest increased commission rate.

3. Picketing
What the good workers at Dill Pickle Food Co-op are doing to get their demands met RIGHT NOW.
(Picketing is relatively a more full-on tactics than others listed in this thread).

4. Slowdown
Why rush to be exploited by the boss? The year was 2016, taxi drivers in Toronto drove their cabs as slow as 5 km/h on main streets and sounded their horns en route to City Hall 🤡

5. Work to Rule
Obey rules & regulations to the letter, to the point of lowering productivity, e.g., teachers refusing to supervise students at lunchtime, immediately leaving office at 17:01, not reading emails on weekends, etc.

6. Sick-ins
What is a boss to do if all employees call in sick at the same time? In 2016, bus drivers in Poland collectively went to donate blood so all workers had to take the day off. Be creative! 😷More: https://archive.iww.org/about/solidarityunionism/directaction/5/
7. Solidarity
All these direct actions work because workers fight side by side and strike together. Get to know your co-workers, talk to them in person, organise!

Please remember: we're at war with our boss. Our interests are in direct contradiction to theirs. Our boss will keep us peeing in bottles to maximise their profit. We should not hesitate to "fight dirty" by causing them some✨small✨discomforts!
