i don't like this interpretation of lulu and milne, i felt as if her girlboss verison in the anime was like way more entertaining and interesting as a character

like in this manga her neglectance of milne is more of a spur of the moment girlcrazy thing but in the anime it's way more interesting to me since it was like, raw childhood hatred turned up to goofy cartoonish extremes that slowly evolves into regret and longing for family

buuuuuut i do like the usage of the new plush lulu has effectively also giving a different closure to her mourning through sumika's weird spiritual thing although not as much as the above mentioned

but it helped me understand a bit better how characters were meant to be conveyed in the anime so i'm just trying to think like.

if the anime was too wild and the manga was too safe, how can i combine what i like from both and create my own interpretation of the stories

i like the manga interpretation of ginko and kureha, but i don't like lulu, while i think lulu was the best out of the anime trio and the other two had problems

yuriika had some weird gazey freak shit going on in the anime but it's like a bit more decent in the manga

even though kaoru is canon in both versions, they more wanted to retool the idea of her character through kale and she went from a basic villain to like. straight up ginko's mom

mitsuko was a mess of a writing in the anime but she basically contributed almost nothing here

and sumika's just like. way better in the manga so it's like hm. oh also i love konomi too

but shit i want to find a way to mix the two. there's like, a story here and i want to find the damn story. but fuck i don't even know where to start

i'll have to make a different thread detailing what i come up with but, i need to figure out first how to keep the original vision in-tact while changing out other writing decisions

yknow, if possible i mean. i mean at the end of the day the original is a dumpster fire
