I know, with close friendships comes unsolicited filters. However, if you really do care for your friend, can the questions start with & #39;How do you feel right now& #39;, "If you feel sad, let me help you", "Share when you want to, this is a safe space" or anything comforting.
One of the most hurtful things you can say to someone who just came out of an abusive relationship would be telling them to go back to their partner. Why& #39;d you say that? They may have just started to see the abusive pattern and they maybe very vulnerable.
