Got frustrated with limited analytics on @niftygateway and decided to do some web scrapping and data clean up to see if any interesting insights could be generated. Chose @trevorjonesart #bitcoinangel for this initial analysis

This thread is a simple analytics of trading behavior on Nifty. Please note that there may be still some data errors as I didn’t capture any activity outside Nifty (e.g., Opensea) as well as cross-wallet transfers. Focused on sales activity only.
@niftygateway reported 4157 editions minted on 2/24/21. However, there was additional edition bought by sensei777 bringing the total supply to 4158 (#4158 currently up for grabs for $50K). At $777 / item, the drop was valued at $3.23M (that was before Beeple’s Christie sale)
Initial drop was distributed across 2.4K collectors, with 20% of items purchased by 84 collectors. ZZ beHODL JP NiftyHussle were some of the top drop collectors
In ~35 days since the drop, total of 1.7K trades at NG generated $3.8M in sales, surpassing the initial drop value. Avg. price increased to over $4.5K after @trevorjonesart announced no more open editions until Aug / Sep. Floor price since then been is fluctuating around $3K
In general, despite large OE @trevorjonesart was able to create scarcity of the drop by creating strong community of holders as well as promising potential benefits to collectors (e.g., private party)
Not surprisingly, lower editions have been priced higher – first edition went for $27K or ~18X premium on 3/1 (bought by @Crypto888crypto). Garbageman22 has been also buying
