Among the things we discovered: @ericadamsfornyc collects rent on his Bed-Stuy home but didn't report it to IRS, which his accountant attributed to his taking a loss on the property. He also owns property in NJ where his partner lives.
@ShaunDonovanNYC made a lot of $ working as a consultant after leaving the Obama admin. He advised Harvard, his alma mater, on a campus expansion project. He and his wife bought a $2.3M carriage house in BK recently.
. @KGforNYC never increased her salary when she took on (or was stuck w/) extra jobs in the @NYCMayor admin. She invests in her sister's sneaker company and has property upstate.
. @Dianne4NYC earned over $200K as CEO of Phipps Neighborhoods and consultant to Encore Community Services. She rents space in her BK home but took a loss in recent years.
. @scottmstringer and his wife, exec at Museum of Jewish Heritage, made a combined $392K in 2019 and paid for a a live-in nanny. Yet on the trail he often laments he doesn't have much $ to leave his children so he wants to leave them a better city.
. @mayawiley made $321K in 2019 from her jobs at The New School, on MSNBC and through other paid speeches. She donated $1K worth of conference chairs to Dartmouth, her alma mater.
. @AndrewYang reported no wages in 2019, when he was running for president. He made a tax-free $40K out of his IRA that year and took in $43K renting his New Paltz home for 58 days, largely through Airbnb. He is a frequent investor in startups, to mixed success.
