Mojiang mineshaft

WIV research shows similar SARS-related coronaviruses clustering geographically.

This means the original SARS-CoV-2 is more likely to be found nearer where its closest match was found - the Mojiang mineshaft.

The WIV have unpublished bat viruses from there.
Early Covid-19 spread

China's origin-tracing team assembled with WHO support claim 8 Dec 2019 was the earliest recorded Covid-19 symptom onset.

Why do they?

This Lancet paper from Wuhan doctors shows a confirmed a Covid-19 case with onset 1 Dec 2019.

Influenza

In Nov 2019, China's top SARS expert Zhong Nanshan effectively advised against detecting novel respiratory pathogens.

His team changed guidance from recommending finding out what patients testing negative for influenza had to recommending against finding out.
Influenza

SARS expert Zhong Nanshan expanded the influenza definition to include what are also Covid-19 (SARS2) symptoms.

This appears to have made clinical misdiagnosis of Covid-19 as influenza more likely.

His guidance update also advised people to even wear masks at home.
Influenza

These actions have not been widely discussed.

At the least, the WHO should recommend that doctors isolate specimens from respiratory disease patients testing negative for influenza.

Zhong's own guidance says doing so is the gold standard then recommends against it.
International Health Regulations

There is now conclusive proof that China's leaders violated the IHRs in 2019 by not reporting the Covid-19 outbreak within 72 hours.

Someone in China didn't send an IHR notification email and now 3m people are dead.

International Health Regulations

Evidence suggests another IHR violation in China in 2012.

The Mojiang mineshaft outbreak patients had SARS antibodies and symptoms but the WHO did not report the outbreak.

The WHO have not clarified whether this constituted an IHR violation.
Wuhan bat virus program

The Shanghai-based team that first shared the SARS2 sequence were reportedly in Wuhan due to working on a bat virus sampling program and happened to sample a Covid-19 patient.

The program's description doesn't mention sampling viruses in hospitals.
Wuhan bat virus program

The program sends researchers out to bat caves and brings viruses from the caves to labs for experiments.

This wild bat virus sampling program reportedly wasn't even running when SARS2 was sampled, and was later suspended.

This has not been explained.
Wuhan bat virus program

It is still unclear how the hospital at which the first publicly known Covid-19 cases were identified became a part of this wild bat virus sampling and experimentation program and not others.

Did it become part of it when Covid-19 was detected there?
Wuhan bat virus program

This bat virus program involved SARS-related coronavirus ACE2 receptor experiments.

One of the WIV's projects for 2019 also involved passaging novel SARS-related coronaviruses through humanised mice expressing the human ACE2 receptor.
Inconsistencies

The China/WHO independent origin-tracer who said that RaTG13 was left in the WIV's freezer until after the Covid-19 outbreak has been publicly contradicted.

Other statements are inconsistent with the evidence, including his denial that the WIV keep live bats.
The WIV's missing bat virus database

Records show that the database was taken offline on 12 Sep 2019. I have been trying to obtain a copy for around a year now.

It contains data on some of the most similar known viruses to SARS-CoV-2. Nobody will share it.
The missing bat virus database

It contains data on bat viruses sampled on the WIV's Chinese, Singaporean and US taxpayer-funded trips to Yunnan including Mojiang.

This includes trips with funding administered by a China/WHO origin-tracer. https://twitter.com/McWLuke/status/1369686004924309504
Final program review

The program that identified the closest match to SARS-CoV-2 in Mojiang was being reviewed in 2019, including preparing samples for physical inspection.

This review of the WIV's flagship program took place while a tender was out for its successor program.
Final program review

This was documented human contact with the closest known viruses to SARS-CoV-2 at the WIV around the time of spillover in 2019.

In contrast, there is zero direct evidence of human contact with a SARS-CoV-2-like virus in nature at that time.

Zero.
Poor lab safety record

Judging by inspection reports, labs at Wuhan institutions involved in the program that identified the closest match to SARS-CoV-2 are poorly run.

WIV staff were so concerned with lab safety that they filed a lab accident-related patent in Nov 2019.
GoF

SARS2 appears most likely to have spilled over due to work such as the 2019 WIV project passaging novel SARS-related coronaviruses through mice expressing human ACE2 receptors, likely causing gains of function adapting viruses to human transmission. https://graph.org/Cave-and-Mineshaft-02-24
General point

The spillover caused the local epidemic.

The coverup caused the pandemic.

Natural or lab-related virus spillover is likely to happen again in China, and likely to be covered up again and played down by those under CCP influence, facilitating its spread.
