WHY YOU SHOULD PLAY HONKAI IMPACT 3RD — a spoiler free thread ₊˚.༄

“what is honkai impact?” honkai impact is a mobile and PC game made by mihoyo, the same people who made the well-known game genshin impact. it follows the story of girls (also called valkyries) fighting evil monsters called honkai and their development throughout.

REASON #1: STORY! the story is incredibly well written and gets better as each chapter goes on. the story is so much more complex than fighting monsters and has a lot of world building and side stories to it. all of the main characters are loveable!

REASON #2: MANGA! alongside the game, there are other ways to enjoy and consume the story with the free manga on their website ( https://manga.honkaiimpact3.com ). it provides a lot of good background information and is a great way to learn more about the story if you enjoy the game!

REASON #3: GAMEPLAY! there are different stories within the game, all which have different gameplay. for example, they have three open world stories alongside the main story, all are different, very interesting and keep you hooked!

REASON #4: EVENTS! honkai does a lot of events, and their rewards are good and gives you motivation to play them each day! they even did a collab with evangelion and asuka is in the game! it was really easy to get her and build her to be a really good unit.

REASON #5: F2P! honkai can be entirely free to play, and all characters can be earned, not spent on. if you get enough fragments you can unlock them and upgrade them to be really strong units. they are rewarding with getting crystals too (which you use to roll the gacha)

REASON #6: REPRESENTATION! the game is known for having multiple sapphic couples in the game. kiana x mei, sakura x kallen, and bronya x seele are all canon sapphic couples. they are all well written and have development.

REASON #7: CONNECTIONS! there’s speculation that honkai and genshin are connected. the unknown god looks similar to god kiana in honkai, and there’s a lot of other similarities in the game. if there really is a connection, it’s important to understand just how it is connected.
