here's a concrete example: Safe-Injection Sites. they save lives! they prevent illness! they help folks get off the street if/when they're ready! no judgement, no shame, just pure facts and compassion.

it is so wild to me, going from when i was 20 years old in 2008 where harm reduction philosophy was the norm in queer spaces to 2021 where everyone is just expected to hide their "shame" like what the FUCK happened. what the ABSOLUTE FUCK happened.
