It begins! I had a wild idea to come up with mead recipes for characters I like so I'm starting with Cullen and Cassandra from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Thread on their flavors incoming!

Cullen is a sweet mead made with buckwheat honey and will be backsweetened with marshmallow root and maybe butterscotch extract. It's going to taste like a warm amber hug and hopefully get a rich deep gold color as well.
Cassandra is more complicated. She's a raspberry mead made with wildflower honey that will be aged with oak chips and fortified with rum. The raspberries should give it some sweetness and pink color while the oak and rum will provide deeper flavor notes.
Racking complete! I added the marshmallow root to Cullen, and I'm holding off on the oak chips for Cassandra for now. Both taste VERY BOOZY right now, but that should mellow out with time. Cullen already tastes very warm while Cassandra has some bite so they're going well!
