Right now, the US's slight rise in cases seems to be driven mostly by consistent increases in cases in Michigan and Minnesota. One thing that's interesting: These increases are among younger age groups. Older (vaccinated) age group remains flat https://www.michigan.gov/documents/coronavirus/20210316_Data_and_modeling_update_v_Media_719728_7.pdf
This mirrors (on a smaller scale) what was observed in Israel. One last UK-variant driven increase in Israel occurred mostly among younger age cohorts which took longer to get access to the vaccine. But once they did, began dropping in cases too https://twitter.com/ZoeMcLaren/status/1374522158806892544?s=20
In other words: Get vaccinated as soon as you can, to protect yourself and to protect others ♥️
Also: Recall that one of the more accurate modelers throughout this pandemic projects a slight increase for the next few weeks, then a drop-off again as we get into late April https://twitter.com/Alicia_Smith19/status/1372661311100887048?s=20
Checking in on this thread after a couple weeks: Clear indications that age groups with high rates of vaccinations (70+ years old) have avoided the large spike in cases in Michigan, unlike in past waves.

Speaks to how effective these vaccines are https://www.michigan.gov/documents/coronavirus/20210406_Data_and_modeling_update_vmediaT_002_721704_7.pdf
