Many characters in umineko are defined by not only what made them the way they are, but how they were able to deal with it in order to keep living, and from this point i want to address the majestic game battler ushiromiya crafted out of his love for beatrice.

Battler acknowledged Kanon's existence by giving him his own name, appreciated the different genders/world views of beatrice, created a mystery that is only solvable by understanding the core of her life, and treated every aspect of her life as an integrated whole narrative.

Battler acknowledged all the flaws, raised questions, presented discussions, and trended on very thin ice in order to preserve the mystery while indulging the reader in fantasy and love, hereby saving his own sister in the process of making amends.

Even if you don’t agree with the answer he proposed, you can’t help but appreciate all the beautiful efforts that went into creating this beautiful tale of heart. Just imagine if someone wrote this story about you, how would you feel and what would be your answer?
