sorry give me a minute to mourn the end of this thread. i've been working on this thread since i started kdrama twitter a month ago so to know it's finally over deeply hurts me LMAO i love chacenzo so much. okay here we go.

vin was so worried about her that he was so disoriented, i have never seen him more disheveled about anything until he was helpless in trying to keep her safe.

the way he was shielding her from the shot that could've ended either or both of their lives. he was really willing to end his life for her the way she would've done for him, and the way they shut their eyes preparing for them both to go down. they were willing to die together.

after their conversation before the final battle and when she got shot, vin realized he couldn't stay with her in order to keep her safe, both for her life and her morals.
this scene was the both of them accepting they had to let each other go.

chayoung didn't want to hold him back from who he was, and vincenzo didn't want to compromise her life nor her morals.
so no matter how much they love each other, even if he did come back, they HAD to be strong enough to let each other go.
