i only started to look deeper into this language 2-3 years ago after i got myself into watching Thai LGBT+ contents. so i do recommend to watch A LOT of Thai series as well as checking out their music :3 strongly suggest that you search for lyrics and trans as well.

when you’re familiar with the language and start to know the context when you listen to Thai, you can move on to looking at the alphabet. DO NOT look at the whole alphabet all at once you might give up right away sjhsksjs take your time cuz you’re in no rush.

plz do check out a lot of thai lessons on youtube, they’re all so helpful and u can listen to them while you’re working as well

then u wanna start learning how to write the characters :3 maybe the basic ones first na. after that u can start to write them into words. try out these ones below!

u will start to notice the patterns to the spelling structure of Thai words. after that i recommend to start reading MewGulf’s tweets or just read literally anything in Thai it might take ages at first but you’ll get there. u might also wanna have a look at Thai slangs too

videos or lessons that say “how to speak like a local Thai person” are HIGHLY recommended

download the app version of google translate so that you have something like in the photos below. when you can’t read a word, u can screenshot and do this don’t trust google trans too much tho.

add a thai keyboard onto ue phone as well. at first, u might take like 30mins to find the characters ur looking for but u’ll eventually get used to it *whisper: i still take ages to type in thai kehwksj*
