FULL STORY RECAP | 3/18
— Disclaimer:
This was an In Character recap,
& somethings aren't mentioned
on purpose.
— Ranboo talks about the beginning of the server, joking about Dream’s two kills. He got a semi-tour from Niki, that covered the basic areas of the SMP. And then says the next day was when the things started to kick off.
— Day 2, he got a tour from the President of L’manburg, and moved into L’manburg. He says the tour was interesting, and that it persuaded his opinion on L'manburg to be a “good idea.” He says he met Michael with the President.
— He says Tommy told him about his plan to go against George, and asked Ranboo if he wanted to burn down his house. Ranboo said yes because he was “spineless,” and he didn't want enemies. So he burned down a guys house.
— They prepared for their plan, and asked for Niki’ armor to do something “not bad.” He and Tommy went to George’s house, and said they burned it down on accident, but the robbing and placing signs was the actual plan. They ran away after burning down his house by accident.
— He says they thought they didn't get caught, but were caught by Niki & Puffy. Ranboo was asked if it was him, and he realized he didn't remember. He wonders why he didn't remember something that had just happened, and says he doesn't think he burned it down.
— Because of their prank, Dream started to build walls around L’manburg. Dream showed them George’s house, and realized it was because of them. Tommy was blamed for everything, but Ranboo was questioned as well since he was seen in the area.
— Dream wanted to talk to Tommy, so Tubbo & Ranboo made the meeting hall, and he became the “minutes man,” and he was tasked with writing down the notes for the meeting, and the meeting was not successful. He says there was a “pig guy” that was staring at them the entire time.
— Ranboo says Tommy messed up, as he was using something named “Spirit” as leverage. Dream didn't care about spirit, and that he only cared about the discs, from what Ranboo heard.
They had a trial, where Tommy stood up for Ranboo, and Ranboo was asked if he did it, and he said his memory was bad, and they cut him off. Ranboo said he had a bad memory, not that he didn't remember burning down George’s house. Ranboo says he should've been punished as well.
— They had another meeting, and Ranboo wasn't included. He realized he liked the idea of writing things down to remember things, and made the first memory book, since he couldn't share his memories since he was also responsible, so he wrote down who to trust and who not to trust.
— He says people started randomly standing on the tall obsidian walls, and wondered what they were doing. He seemed like they were fighting, and Tommy was exiled. Ranboo says he felt guilty, since Tommy was punished for a crime that both of them committed.
— Back in L'manburg, everything was going “amazing." He had a house, he had pets, his cats, dogs, etc. He was a part of the cabinet, but he still felt guilty because Tommy was still in exile. He visited him a few times, but he seemed “off,” like something was going on with Dream.
— He wrote him letters, to keep him updated and didn't feel alone. He said he felt this was his fault
— He says one day, he was minding his own business and was approached suddenly, Quackity said that Techno was the reason everything was gone, because he was a traitor.
— Quackity recruited him for the Butcher Army, and Ranboo was under the impression that they were going to give him a trial and a proper, reasonable, punishment. He was confused during the first meeting, but agreed to help because betraying someone is “pretty bad.”
— Phil, who was someone Ranboo liked, was revealed to be a traitor, and was placed on house arrest after they stole a compass that led them to techno.
— They left and found Techno, and Ranboo simply just fired his bow so that most of them missed, since Techno was still a person.
— Quackity got a horse named “Carl,” and this caused Techno to comply, and the trial started. There was an execution set up, and Ranboo still thought techno would have a chance to defend himself, but instead he was executed. Techno survived and ran off.
— Ranboo felt guilt, as he didn't think they were going to be so aggressive. He says he thinks him + Phil were okay.
— He says he spoke to Ghostbur, where he was called “Aaron Burr,” and they went on a small trip together to Techno, as a surprise to Ranboo.
— Techno tries to kill Ranboo, and Ranboo says that it makes sense. Techno threatened Ranboo until Techno gave him all of his armor, and Ranboo did it. He says he succumbs very easily to peer pressure. There was another person at Techno’s house, and it was Tommy.
— Ranboo wrote it in his memory book, and that they were on okay terms, and he went back to L'manburg. He realizes he betrayed the Butcher Army, and everyone else, by giving Techno his stuff & lying about not knowing Tommy’s whereabouts.
— He doesn't tell them anything because he didn't want to be seen as weak. He kept seeing Tommy and Techno with a lot of dogs, but ignored it. Ranboo says he was playing both sides, and that it was hard to choose between the two, so he would help everyone instead of choosing.
— While decorating for the festival, Ranboo loses his memory book, and finds it in a different place. And realizes he needed a place to think, and makes the panic room- a room made out of obsidian, with a jukebox in the center.
— In the panic room, he realizes he betrayed everyone, but also “chose people.”
— The walls were down around L'manburg, and everything was going well. They were planning a festival, and they would finally kill Dream. Ranboo made games, and they had some fun.
— Prior to the festival, Tommy & Techno attacked Fundy & Ranboo, threatening Ranboo to give Techno his weapons back, and Techno sets off a wither in retaliation to Ranboo not giving him his weapons. Ranboo caves under pressure and gives them to Techno.
— During the Festival, Dream came over and started to build the walls again, despite nothing happening. They discovered the Community House being blown up, and that Dream was blaming Techno + Tommy for it. Dream decides to blow up L’manburg, and Techno agreed to help.
— Ranboo was watching, and then Dream told everyone that he was a traitor, and handed everyone his lost memory book.
— Ranboo wonders how Dream could've gotten the books, and opens the book to find a single message on the first page.
— He says the message symbolizes that he betrayed everyone, and now everyone knows this.
— :)
— In the days prior to L'manburg blowing up, Ranboo says saving L’manburg would just keep causing problems, and that they argued. He says everyone looking at him caused him to lash out.
— He went back to the panic room, and started thinking out loud what he was going to do, if he was going to help or not, and then he started to hear something that was him; a voice.
— He calls it an “interesting voice,” it was the voice of Dream, telling him that by “trying to help everyone, I betrayed everyone.” And that he didn't believe the voice, since he couldn't have betrayed people that much, since all he did was give Techno back armor under pressure.
— The voice leaves, and Ranboo decided that the best thing to do was to “kind of” help people, the people who helped him– L'manburg.
— He remembers his memory book was given to Tubbo when he was revealed as a traitor, but still doesn't know where, and it was time for “Doomsday.”
— They thought that they had some time to save L’manburg, and then they started to hear explosions & Withers, and L’manburg was starting to crumble, and Ranboo says he wasn't ready for L'manburg to start falling.
— In the he midst of all the noise & fighting, the people “that were once a part of l'manburg decides to jusr- switch their values,” but he heard something. He heard Techno ask “What's this “Do Not Read” book?”
— He ran to Techno and grabbed it, and Trchno gave it to him & told him to runaway while he had the chance, showing him mercy when he could've easily killed Ranboo, and this caused the issues with his judgement of L’manburg.
— He says he watched as everything was destroyed, and as L'manburg fell. He says he “doesn't really know,” (doesn't specify what) and that he hurt Fundy, and that he spoke with Quackity, and that he seemed to have forgiven Ranboo after reading his book.
— He visited the panic room and didn't know what to do, and then Phil came in and asked him if he was okay. Phil realized that “when he blew up everything- I didn't have a home, since i was one of the only people who lived in L’manburg, so Phil helped me,” and offered him a home.
— He thought it couldn't be so bad, since how could it be bad? He's okay, and he's safe.
— :)
— He started to hear a disc from “somewhere very far away.” And that it was playing in the Panic room, so he went back and wondered why he was going back to it. He took out the disc & “an old friend came back.”
— ⍙⊑⟒⍀⟒ ⍙⟒ ⎎⍀⟟⟒⋏⎅⌇?
— The voice tells him he was even worse than he thought, since he was helping Dream & didn't remember it, and Ranboo thought it was impossible that he was doing what the voice was saying.
— He says the voice was him trying to fill the gaps in his memory, Ranboo says the voice is wrong, since there's no proof. The voice tells him to “mine the wall” of the panic room, finding a chest with two pieces of TNT that Ranboo didn't put in there.
— Ranboo says he built his house, and was having fun with Techno and Phil, but he was still confused as to if he blew up the community house or not, which was at the same time as Tubbo & Tommy planning to meet Dream to get the discs back.
— He says he just “lived” for awhile, and lived in solitude without talking to many people. He says he was, “for the first time in a while; happy.”
— He was with the voice since discovering a new found happiness.
— He said that the voice couldnt be right, even if he knows he has a bad memory, it didn't make sense for him to help Dream.
— Right?
— The voice tells him he has a disc, and Ranboo thinks that couldn't be true, but he looks anyway, and he finds it in a chest under his house.
— :)
— He realized that something “is going on,” since there must be a reason he can't remember the visits with Dream at all, and realizes he had been.. sleepwalking, of sorts. And decides it's a problem for another day.
— During his sleepwalking, he would do things that were “bad,” since he helped dream, and he didn't know what to do.
— And then Tommy & Tubbo were going to go fight Dream, and everyone thought they were going to die.
— Dream was put in prison because of their actions, and Ranboo doesn't remember what happened in between those periods to cause it, but he was happy Dream was gone.
— He says he named the sleepwalking “Enderwalking,” due to it increasing his Enderman tendencies.
— He says since he can't get in the prison, Dream is no longer a threat. And the clingy duo have their closure, so everything is calm again, and he's with Techno and Phil still, besides the egg.
— He has an idea to go visit Dream to figure everything out & get his own closure.
— He visited the prison, and everything was going good until Dream told him exactly what he didn't wan to hear, which was him visiting Dream while Enderwalking, and that he was apparently one Dream’s “best friends.”
— Dream handed him Ranboo’s memory book, and that the chest was filled with several memory books. And then the prison started to collapse, and Dream disappeared. Ranboo says he guesses it was “the Dream voice, but even worse,” as the entire visit wasn't real.
— He says after that he didn't know what to do, and decided to just keep his head down, and that he doesn't know what the prison visit truly was.
— He says he needed to visit the prison “for real this time,” to actually get closure, and he was ready to see him for the first time.
— They went through the prison visiting process and asked when the last time he visited, and Ranboo said it was his first time, and Sam laughed, since Ranboo had visited in the past.
— Eanboo realizes he visited the Dream in the Enderwalk, as the books he signed were in Ender.
— Sam told him that Ranboo had a book on him, and Ranboo looked in all of his memory books, only to realize there was nothing in the books to show he had been there before, and learned of a fourth memory book he didn't know about, and he still doesn't know where it is.
— He told Sam to stop letting him into the prison.
— He says the book was a book “of the Enderwalk,” and that he tried to look for it, and tried to stop the Enderwalk, but nothing worked.
— His beacon vanished and his tools would have low durability at random times.
— He decided the best thing to was to “just live” and not get envolved, and he let himself be Ranboo.
— He was okay.
— And then Ranboo decided he was going to build a hotel, and he got married for tax reasons, and adopted Michael.
— He learned of Tommy’s death, and that they went through that, and that Sam let Tommy’s death happen.
— “Tommy was dead, and that was that.”
— He says one day in his house, he decided to relax and saw Niki at his house. He investigated and stared into the window and was Super Stealthy, and Techno asked how he felt about anarchy, and he said it sounded fine after it was explained to him. (He's a little dumb.)
— He joined the Syndicate, and he doesn't really know what it is, but it could help with conflict. He told them Tommy died, and they didn't believe him, and that “that was that.”
— He later revealed his code name for the Syndicate was "Lethe."
— And then Tommy was back, somehow. Ranboo didn't understand how Tommy was back to life, and he mindlessly walked around and found a room with two shrines, and a hallway with everyone's important items.
— He started to remember and hear things, remembering Dream wanted to control the server & that he was only kept alive due to the revive book, and that they were saved by everyone going to save them, but Ranboo says he doesn't think he was a part of it.
— He realizes Dream had to be stopped before he could bring back the villains, and then he'll finally be happy, since he has Michael to protect now, and that he needs to make sure that nothing can happen to Michael.
— He was approached by Tommy who had the same idea, and he agreed with Tommy for the first time on something, and they started to build a large tower.
— He says he spoke to ghostbur about revival, and Ghostbur sounded like he didn't want to go, which “was interesting,” and now Ranboo is trying to figure out a way to kill Dream.
— He says the Enderwalk is still an issue, and assumes Dream has a task that Ranboo needs to do, and that he thinks it hasn't happened in awhile, so something must be working.
— He says he just wants to make sure his adopted son is safe, and that it's the only reason he's doing a lot of things.
Michael Update: He is doing fine and is safe.
