Problems within the mcyt community that effect hispanics/latinos. A thread.
Lets start off with the (cholo) accents! Where did the cholo accents originate from? : The term cholo was used in a negative way (or derogatory way) against Latin Americans or Mixed spaniards. The term was used to define them as lower-class or poor.
The word was later reclaimed into a subculture of the latin community (chicano(a)). The accent was formed when spanish and english started mixing together forming words like "wey" or "foo"
Many Mexicans were mocked or made fun of for having this certain accent. Using this accent as a non-mexican can be seen as mocking or rude and shouldn't be the punchline of your joke. The way we talk shouldn't be a joke or be made fun of.
Moving on! Another problem i see within the community is joking about the way Quackity pronounces certain words such as "among us"
Though he might not see it as offensive or in a neg way others do due to the fact that some of us struggle with pronunciation and have been made fun of for pronouncing something wrongly! It's not the funny joke you think it is.
The language in general. 1. It's not " mexican language " it's "spanish language " 2. The language isn't just "hot" or something as i saw in a few tweets going around, something to be "turned on" by when someone speaks it.
The sexualization of the term "papi" or "mami". Those terms mean "mom" and "dad" though they CAN be used in a sexual way dont over sexualize it, it's weird. Since most of us call our parents that 
The stereotype of Mexicans !!! Mexicans aren't just "tacos, sombreros, panchos and burritos" our culture is way more than that! the fan art involving Mexicandream has a lot of stereotypical imagery to it that should be changed.
The b slur! [beaner]. A common misconception is that all latinos can say the b slur! That statement is wrong and the slur should only be use by mexicans! The word beaner has been a derogatory slur used against mexicans(Mexican descendants ) the slur meaning "bean- eaters"
"Wetback" is another slur only mexicans should reclaim. It originated when Americans thought Mexicans only came from "el norte" by swimming across el rio grande!
"Latinos are white" Yes we know the difference between ethnicity and race! That doesn't give you a reason to excuse your racism by calling us white! Read this! Something i talked about on my instagram (input from other latinos/mexicans)
Stop calling spanish stream annoying or ask him to speak english. Some of you guys have to realize not everything revolves around you and you should let your hispanics mutuals enjoy the streams :) you get plenty of English streams a few streams won't hurt!
The White washing of Quackity! Stop making him White He's mexican !! < this doesn't mean make him overly dark/tan!
Please stop speaking over latinos/hispanics when we speak up about these issues or use "im hispanic but.." it's annoying. Stop calling us "sensitive" or telling us "it's a joke" when we do speak up about something! Please stop ignoring us and our problems :)
