On the anniversary of Breonna Taylor's murder, I'd like to remind you of the deadly militarized policing laws that were written/expanded by Joe Biden.

These are the policies that make it legal for killer cops to continue murdering:
1. COPS Grants.
2. Byrne Grants.
3. Civil Asset Forfeiture.

COPS Grants aka Community Orientated Policing is a grant program funded by the government and since 1994 over $14 BILLION has been funnelled into the program. What is it? Grants given to police departments to fund "friendly Community oriented cops."
But, Police department budgets are fungible therefore there's no way to control how these grants are spent once they arrive at the police dept.
And *three* decades of reports show that most of these funds went to....SWAT TEAMS and BUYING MILITARY GRADE EQUIPMENT!

Byrne Grants is another grants program created to fight the "War on Drugs" which creates dangerous multi-jurisdictional "anti-drug" & "anti-gang" task forces LOCALLY.
Of course disproportionately affecting black people.
For every $100 increase in Byrne grant funding, arrests increased by:
22 per 100k whites were arrested.
101 per 100k black folk arrested.

BYRNE GRANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MANY DEADLY BOTCHED RAIDS, WRONG HOUSES, AND CORRUPTION.And because they cover many jurisdictions, they aren't held accountable. Ever.

Civil Asset Forfeiture laws are how the police fund more programs. Your house is raided from "evidence" gathered by COPS/Byrne programs.
They then seize your things. If you can't hire a lawyer to get your items, they are sold at auction. Funds go to that police dept.

These laws are protecting muderers like Brett Hankison, Myles Cosgrove, and Jonathan Mattingly who murdered Breonna.
