proshipping is *not* another word for being a MAP or pedophile and never has been proshipping applies to fiction and fiction only

proshippers do *not* believe that “fiction doesn’t effect reality.” we do think it affects reality, just not in a 1:1 ratio yall like to exaggerate

not all proshippers like problematic fiction. not all proshippers have problematic / “bad” ships. having problematic ships is not a requirement to being proship.

not all proshippers are white many are BIPOC

there are many proshippers who are abuse and CSA victims

not every proshipper is an adult in their 30s

there are also many proshippers who are neurodivergent and mentally ill

proshipping literally just means “anti-harassment”. thats it and it’s the only definition there’s ever been. it is a stance of being anti harassment when it comes to works and art of fiction, no matter how bad said fiction may be

proshippers did not come up with the term “anti”. y’all did that when you started calling yourselves things like “anti-sheith” or whatever
