Got a question today: "With all the information I’m learning what are some tips/best practices on how to retain it all?"

By building. 🧵
IMO, tutorials are to inform you of what's there and how one might apply it. That's the lesson. You've learned this thing exists and when/where/how it can be used.
Trying to memorize the syntax of every single thing you're learning is futile. Instead focus on understanding the concept and when, where, and why to use it.
As you begin building products, you'll remember "I can use X to solve this particular problem". Where X may be a technique, function, etc.

THIS is the valuable skill IMO. Knowing what to reach for. From here, the syntax can easily be looked up.
As you solve that type of problem more and more, then the syntax becomes a part of your memory. But even if it doesn't that's ok.

Every dev will tell you they have to look up the syntax for X thing that constantly use. I promise this is normal.
I say all of this to say, in your tutorials, focus on the concepts and when to apply them.

Then build things to really cement your knowledge.
