Alright, I did some #NBATopShot-ing.
- I spent $14 a drop ago on 1 pack
- sold 2 moments for $310 total
- kept my Zion moment
- bought 1 moment for $18

Here’s why I went this route 🧵:
The 2 moments I sold:
- Giannis dunk (/10k): $295
- Sexton 2OT shot (/35k+): $10

I went for the quick cash on both. Listed for lowest price, sold both near instantly. I ultimately don’t believe the value will increase for either of them. 2/
The argument to keep Giannis:
/10k minting.

But Giannis dunks ALL THE TIME. This is a random dunk. There will be more w/ common + rare frequency. I suspect 10k mintings are inflated value right now. I’ll take the $295 and run. 3/
Sexton was an easy sell. Even tho that’s his biggest shot in his career-high game, it’s one of the cheapest Top Shot moments that exists. That $10 will go towards my next pack. 4/
My lone remaining pack-opened moment: this Zion dunk.

I was ready to sell it for $65, but I realized this is the cheapest Zion moment available. I’m thinking new collectors will look for their fav players’ cheapest moments, which could drive the floor price up. 5/
So: I spent $14 on a pack.
I made $310 through sales.
I’m +$296 & still have my Zion moment, which I think will increase.

And the funny part? I COULD BE SO WRONG. So read this as how I’m personally approaching Top Shot, not validated collecting strategy.

But I also think #NBATopShot is cool! And I need hobbies! So I wanted to reinvest in the community.

So I went into the Marketplace to pick a new moment to buy. 7/
I bought rookie Cole Anthony’s 1st game-winner moment for $18.

I think Cole’s gonna be a star. He was once expected to be the #1 draft pick before a college injury. He’s gonna shine this year with Fultz out. I think his 1st game-winner is a nice gamble. Plus, I like him! 8/
