The primary reason I will always admire Warren Buffett is that regardless of how successful he has been, he’s remarkably humble and open about the mistakes he’s made. He has no hubris. This is what separates great investors - and great human beings - from abysmal ones. $BRK
If you’re in the mood to learn from the GOAT, I highly recommend this book: Lessons for Corporate America, Fifth Edition https://www.amazon.com/dp/1531017509/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_J7T25VTDM0ZVKEKWBHVQ. It does a great job indexing all of Buffett’s letters from over the years by subject. Truly a treasure trove of invaluable knowledge.
While I don’t agree with some of his buys, especially $CVX at this juncture, his framework of analysis is universal and timeless. His long term discipline and even analytical adjustments to GAAP are tools I used to identify—and stick with—stocks like $TSLA and $SQ early on.
