I finished Haikyu!!. It& #39;s without a doubt my favorite anime and manga of all time now. It succeeds in essentially every aspect for me as I& #39;ll explain below. #Spaikyu
MC: Hinata is the perfect MC for Haikyu and encapsulates all the core themes of the story perfectly along with having such an endearing personality, amazing development, and dynamics throughout the show. He& #39;s made me cry so much man i love him. His dynamic with Kageyama in
Particular is my Favorite thing in the show. The way they push each other and help each other grow is amazing. There interactions in general are so entertaining i could watch it all day.
Characters: Haikyu!! has one of the biggest cast from any show I& #39;ve watched with over 50 character from every series I& #39;ve seen with that many characters i could never confidently say I like everyone or I love more than 15 of them until Haikyu!!. Furudate did an amazing job
Fleshing out the cast from Karasuno to all the teams+spectators. They all are utilized extremely well and are given really funny interactions. their character arcs are also all completed perfectly by the end of the series. His character writing is insane.
Plot: Haikyu& #39;s premise is a simple one but the execution of it is phenomenal. It flows really naturally and is perfectly paced for me never feeling like anything is dragging on longer than its supposed to. Tho the timeskip can feel kind of abrupt ig that& #39;s all. It accomplishes
So much with such a simple plot and is so well put together its insane to me
Themes: Haikyu does its themes very well. For example the theme of freedom is communicated well through Hinata who at the beginning of the story was very restricted in how he could play because he wasn& #39;t good in almost everything to overcome that instead of blaming his height and
Giving up like Washijou or Hoshiumi did he worked hard to get good at everything and finally became free in his matches.
Artwork: the art in the show is absolutely amazing. Furudate& #39;s paneling is really unique to me and makes reading the matches so much more enjoyable especially the last arc where he did almost 100 spreads apparently.
Ending: my favorite part of the series is the ending which I think is fantastic because of how it wraps up alot of character arcs perfectly, has amazing callbacks to previous moments in the show and overall just feels very rewarding and satisfying in general
