#Inuit #InuitEnglish #Inuk [Research Thread] This thread is to inform you that I am doing research for my PhD on two phonological phenomena of Canadian English, in the English of both Canadian-born individuals and also the English of the Inuit.
I have formulated a questionnaire and some tasks for participants. At the moment, I am looking for an Inuk participant over 18 years of age to pilot the questionnaire and tasks. I am offering a compensation as well as a huge thank you for participation.
If you know anyone who would like to participate, I would be immensely grateful and honoured at the same time, and I am also open to feedback on my pilot. The testing would take place in late March-early April, and would be thanful to have at least one participant to try it out.
I have also created a consent form for cpmplete anonymity of the participants, so if you would like to take part, I would appreciate it if you could either send me a private message here, or email me at: [email protected] Please feel free to RT, and also ask me any questions.
I am also learning Inuktitut as I respect the fact that I will be working with Inuit communities, and also because I would like to learn more about the sounds and culture too. A HUGE NAKUMMESUAK in advance!
