Murder She Wrote binge and go.
I forgot she was originally a teacher.
Nice Spencer for Hire reference.
They started the series with a two parter?! šŸ˜†
Episode 3. Intro changed. I feel like theyā€™re showing too much of the episode.
I know Iā€™m only three episodes in but I havenā€™t seen anything that pisses me off. As a side note, this was actually filmed in California and Iā€™ve stayed in the B&B that served as Jessicaā€™s home.
Episode 4 and Jess has already had 6 bestsellers. Her first book was published in episode 1. How fast is she cranking out books?
The ā€˜80s. So much law enforcement picking up guns with pencils.
Gabe Kaplan. First person I had to figure out what other things Iā€™ve seen him in. Welcome back, Kotter. A show I only vaguely remember.
I dunno how many published books weā€™re at but Jessica already has a movie option by episode 5. Does she really have script approval?
That typewriter is cool and doesnā€™t require electricity. She could relocate so the guy can repair the plumbing.
Ha! John Astin.
They only waited 6 episodes to get to The Dog Did It episode.
I forgot what episode Iā€™m on but this guy is in a hospital bed over pain but no broken bones and Iā€™m like why isnā€™t he being sent home? He must have great insurance.
Also, Iā€™ve always wanted a bicycle like Jessicaā€™s because Iā€™ve been a 60-yr-old woman for at least 30 years.
Did she really arrive at the airport 10 minutes before her flight? Has that ever been a thing?
Ah the ā€˜80s. Russians are commies and ballet must be banned in case they defect.
Oh Jessica. Thinking that the innocent will be treated well by the police.
Not show related but @peacockTV keeps showing a @Verizon commercial where Samuel L. Jackson gets eaten by a giant shark at the end and I giggle every time.
Mrs. Fletcher gets into politics. How does she has time to write books with all this crime solving going on?
It didnā€™t take long to notice but, yeah, itā€™s a very white show.
Oh all the black people are in New Orleans. All in an episode about jazz.
And we have our first asshole detective in this one, too. News media peeps fighting over showing a death on air. Those were the days.
Those are really nice brick walls on this ā€œship.ā€
Detective from Law & Order is in this episode. Briscoe, I think. Also: https://twitter.com/SilverAgeTV/status/1361368444671787009
Oh hey! Linda Blair, Rue McClanahan, Larry Linville. This is the fun part of these series with a revolving cast each week. You either see someone as they were first starting, trying again, or were big at the time.
Itā€™s like a little Murder on the Orient Express only itā€™s a bus.
Started season 2 this evening. Episode 2 has John Astin back. Cabot Cove resident this time.
Jessica Fletcherā€™s family must be huge. Nieces and nephews all over the place. Angela Lansbury as Jessica and her cousin is awesome.
Hey, is that the priest from MASH? Oh, and John Astin is back.
Mr. Roper from Threeā€™s Company is here to be a tough guy. Another niece in this episode.
Jessica is a Pisces. ā™“ļø
I have no clue what episode Iā€™m on. Still in season two. How does Jess have time to write anything?
Is John Astin back as the almost new sheriff now?
Oh hey, Mrs. Voorhees! Betsy Palmer is in this episode (2.10).
They cast someone with actual Native American heritage for the next episode, Randolph Mantooth.
ope, the Native American (ā€˜cause thereā€™s only one in *check notes* New Mexico) is accused of being a fake ghost. He, also, just got told to shut up because his people have been thrown off this land. šŸ‘€
And they killed him.
Someplace in The South episode. Country bar fight. Country music confederate flag. Decades old affair and out-of-wedlock baby. Larry Wilcox is in this one. Dorian Harewood is the Sheriff.
Robert Stack accused of murder in Murder She Wrote.
Linda Hamilton alert!
Oh! That was Bryan Cranston that got blown up.
I donā€™t like this man calling her Jessie. There is nothing before Frank and Old Boyfriend can go away.
Ah! The required Magnum P. I. crossover requirement has now been met.
The based on Jessicaā€™s boos episode.
George Takei is in the next episode.
Oh! Wow. Iā€™m really bad at this thread thing. Anyway, Iā€™m towards the end of season 4. Kristy McNichol is in this episode, which only serves to remind me of Pirates of Penzance and The Pirate Movie. Whatā€™s Kristy doing these days?
Season 5 episode 13. Bill Maher being a douche from the early days.
What was going on in season 5 & 6 when they started doing more of these Jessica breaks the 4th wall episodes?
They arenā€™t the best episodes.
Apparently, these non-Jessica centered episodes are because CBS was trying to over work Angela Lansbury. These were a compromise to an 8 day shooting schedule.
I didnā€™t forget about this thread. I just donā€™t have much to say. Iā€™m on season 9 now. Cynthia Nixon is in this episode.
Oh, Margot Kidder too.
