For the two years I’ve lived here my HOA has not allowed proxy voting - mostly because if they allowed proxy voting there would be crazy ballot harvesting.

Anyway, our election is at 7pm on Thursday, legally proxy ballots have to be submit 48 hours in advance of the election…

At *6:59pm tonight* the sitting president of the HOA sent in a proxy form for a resident without anyone else getting an opportunity to submit a proxy form.

These clowns are either extremely bold or just so, so, dumb.

We should be under a conservatorship.

I will say my favorite part of 2021 HOA is the three geriatric white women who pull the most racist shit here like threatening to call ICE on workers and fucking with the non-white community members are all running for the board so they can commit more crimes together.

I’ve been teaching other community members how to leverage HUD to report discrimination as well as showing people how to utilize the governing docs to get what they want. Alternative dispute resolution is fun, because while the bird members think they can stonewall…

Community members, we now just file paperwork and request ADR which requires the HOA to pay for a mediator who makes judgment based on the governing documents. So they waste time and money only to lose because we have CC&R’s and opinion means nothing.

Honestly it’s all very “Trump-ian” here.

Not just the racism and the poor management, but their consistent losing.

Got an email from our HOA’s lawyer today asking me to drop my request for ADR because the board has agreed to maintain the retaining wall on my property.

Apparently the board didn’t tell her there is no filed easement with the county.

The geriatric white women on the board apparently cornered my neighbor in the pool and told him “get ready to empty your pockets, there’s gonna be assessments” and I guess that’s one way to go about getting yourself re-elected?

Sunday the geriatrics had a mimosa breakfast in the pergola - A topic of conversation MUST have even that one of them couldn’t get into the pool due to the “one household at a time” rule due to COVID, because this morning there was a sign saying it’s anyone anytime in pool.

Last night a homeowner emailed the entire community calling out the geriatrics for their executive committee.

Less than five minutes later the president of the HOA was calling residents on their phones.

Like clockwork an email goes out to the whole community trying to cover their tracks from a lawyer.

The “sensitive information” is that they blew $25K on lawyers lying in a federal investigation, and the “various legal actions” were the requirements of our governing documents.

And fuck yeah i’m challenging the board.

You want to pull illegal shit that can get the association sued you can be damn right I’m gonna be there to put you in check.

Apparently the person who handled our community for the management company quit and their replacement is a Qanon nut job who is VERY active on right wing social media.

This is about to get really good.
