My late Mom was amazing

Nothing was impossible for her

We lived in Southerton and because of zoning, kids attended the schools closest to their homes

My Mom wanted me to go to Blakiston Primary School - and not Southerton or Avonlea

She made sure it happened
I am very very shy

My Mom knew this so she made sure I started Speech and Drama very early on. My teacher was Mrs Stone and I had lessons every single week. I also entered Eistedfodds

My biggest cheerleader was my Mom. We would draft the speeches together 💓
All my school reports from Grade 1 to Upper Six are in her special briefcase

I can't wait to read them with the #Caramellos one day

Sidebar: my name was spelt incorrectly for the longest time. Fixed it at Home Affairs when I moved to SA
I really love classical music

Took piano lessons from 1989 to 1995 but I hated exams so I stopped exams

Got this copy of the "Moonlight Sonata" - my favourite one - in London a while ago

2021 - maybe I should get serious about taking piano lessons again #SelfCare
Also when I'm feeling unwell I get like this đŸ˜č

I feel sorry for myself, then I miss my Mom, then I reminisce, and then I eat comfort food

Guess what I'm eating now?

My favourite dessert ever - Woolies Malva and custard #NomNom
This made me cry

My Mom used to print out the emails I sent her you guys

She had a folder with all my emails

"Poempie" was her nickname for Nandi

"Gogi" was her nickname for my niece
