THE EGG AND BLOODVINES PLOT: a masterthread on all you need to know about the badlands main storyline so far
1) THE BEGINNING
early december, around tommy’s exile bad went down to the room he was excavating for dreamon when he discovered a small red egg in the corner of said room, finding it “interesting” and began trying to feed it things (hated chicken, liked ingots + rotten flesh)

bad then showed dream and sam who didn’t like the egg at all, both of them (more so dream) tried to destroy the vines but bad shouted at them to stop even threatening violence, very out of his character

the vines continued growing at a rapid pace, which freaked dream and sam out massively
ant and puffy also grew to love the egg and all three of them were extremely protective over it and hearing it speak - trying to kill sam when he tried destroying some of the vines

the vines got into sam’s house (george and sapnaps rooms) which he promptly destroyed and then tried to set the egg on fire
the vines covering jshlatts grave turned into cobble
as the vines kept growing, sam noticed it sucked the red out of the smiley face on the wall

sapnap also visited the egg and wanted to blow it up along with sam, but bad wouldn’t let them - instead they destroyed red vines and burned them in blue fire (which were also at schlatts grave - blue seemed to have effect on it)

2) THE AFTERMATH OF THE OBSIDIAN
bad and puffy realised that they loved the egg less and less as it was covered up, they even mined the bloodvines and felt relief from it

bad, ant and puffy changed back immediately and broke the obsidian again

3) SKEPPY’S CHANGE
when bad finally saved skeppy from the egg he came out red, emotionless and only caring about the egg
he tried to burn the diamond blocks bad gave him, didn’t care about bad, tried to kill bad and puffy and wanted tommy’s disc back for some reason

WHEN HE RETURNED AGAIN AFTER A LONGISH WHILE, he then drank bad’s bath water (DONT ASK) and turning him into 1) skephalo fusion 2) badboyhalo 3) the manhunt crew all in one before returning back to normal

4) THE EXPERIMENTS
this crosses over with red skeppy taking place inbetween his first and second appearances
it all started when bad and ant saw the obsidian covering the egg turned into crying obsidian at a rapid pace but there was still no effect on them

the wool experiment: bad and ant placed three pieces of wool under obsidian with the egg one red, one white and one blue
when they checked in again they found that:
- red turned white (the egg absorbs red out of objects)
- white stayed white
- blue turned red (blue absorbs red)

they covered the egg in another layer of obsidian but that layer also turned into crying obsidian
punz and bad broke the obsidian with the church prime suits on, when they broke the obsidian wall bad realised there was only one layer and the egg was bigger (first layer = egg)

WHAT ELSE DID THEY REALISE:
- hazmat suits in church prime protect someone from the eggs
- normal water turns into lava near the egg
- church prime water had effect on the egg while normal water did not (shown in an experiment with red wool)

5) THE EGGPIRE
bad had visited the room and began liking the egg again, the skeppy statue had turned completely red while the badboyhalo statue was drained of all it’s red
also - this particular red vine has prime water poured on it and turned green (bad doesn’t like it)

bad called puffy, ant and punz to a meeting to release the egg from it’s containments and spread over the server again so it can cause conflict for them to thrive
the egg by now has covered the ENTIRE room

at the end of bad’s stream, he reveals his true self DEVOID of red, possessed by the egg
puffy: used to love the egg but now sees it’s evil, stays in eggpire so she can take it down from the inside
punz: isn’t entranced but sees this as a source of conflict that benefits him

all of them begin spreading the vines everywhere, especially antfrost taking over the crater of lmanberg as well as putting up eggpire propaganda + make a meeting room
PUFFY IS VERY AGAINST THIS AND WRITES IN HER DIARY ABOUT IT

6) AFTER THE DISC WAR
tommy gets lured in by ant (who now has red eyes) and bad to visit the egg and even stands on top of the egg with no protection whatsoever
tommy is unaffected, running away when bad and ant hear the egg disliking tommy and escapes before they catch him

tommy brings tubbo to visit the egg and he cries like a lil bitch, awesamdude rescuing them when bad and ant show up

BEFORE THIS fundy explained his disliking towards the egg, and when puffy showed him the actual egg fundy recognised the room from the dreamon hunting
he suspects that badboyhalo may be behind all of this as he saw the egg without any vines, and bad was in charge of this room

ANYWAYS, sam is rescued by tommy and puffy, his speech is slurred and he was forced to eat his own flesh by the egg, now thinking the egg isnt so bad
ponk then gets trapped aswell after offering him and purpleds assistance

A LOT MORE HAS HAPPENED SINCE I MADE THIS THREAD, such as hannah feeling pulled towards the egg and being trapped in there, puffy single handedly taking down the vines and going against them, the eggpire getting rid of the vines to come across peaceful, BUT YEAH GENERAL GIST
