On a whim, I whipped up a height chart for all the characters I made pictures of last year. And yeah, the Spy-Drone is massive, but it can shrink down to the size of a spider when not engaging in combat. #OC
Also, this chart is going from the base of whichever foot is touching the bottom line to where the top of their head would be, so hair and headgear doesn't count towards their height. With the Spy-Drone, its legs don't count toward its height, only the spherical body does.
The reason why I don't count the Spy-Drones legs towards its height is because they can extend and retract to varying lengths.
Here's an updated version of the height chart! This time I went for a more uniform style for more accuracy and included the Shield Dragon this time around.
Here's a better view of Shield Dragon, both with and without the armor, since I put in more detail into it that gets covered up by the armor.
Ok, here's an updated version without Shield Dragon and the Spy-Drone so you can see the shorter characters better.
Had a brainstorm on Saturday and today I started working on a follow-up idea from said brainstorm. Here's a little teaser for the full thing when it's done.
And here's the full version of that image! This is still Ultraboy, only in a prototype version of his suit. It lacks most of the features mentioned earlier in this thread, but still has the jet boots. His oversized gloves are useful for punching out solid walls and debris. #OC
Since it's only a prototype, there's a lot of exposed gears and wiring. It was only used during his first mission prior to becoming a superhero, hence why there's so much more of his body exposed and why it seems haphazardly put together.
Using this as a base, he was able to refine the design and make a much smoother and safer version of the suit as you can see earlier in this thread.
This is also the first image in this thread that I've posted in my own art style without using a base for anatomy reference. Now you see why I prefer to trace and Frankenstein other characters together to make my images. My art style hasn't really changed much since I was 10.
