Attachment is incredibly draining. Once you’ve experienced real love you’ll look at attachment and understand it’s actually not very easy. There’s many variables that need to be in place, there’s many components that need to adhere to your liking-
Things outside of you must behave. The people you’re attached to must behave. The state of your peace is held down by constant conditions. Everything is conditional. Everything. And one things is off kilter, your world will tumble.
Attachment is pricy, there’s a lot of maintenance needed to keep it anchored. It’s a lot of requirements, a lot of codependency and a lot of pain. It’s all based on external forces bowing down to you.
Attachment requires control, it requires constant surveillance, it’s fear at the utmost level. It takes and takes and it’s an insurance policy that will one day fail you.
Love stands on it own, it gives room, it gives time, it gives compassion, it gives autonomy. Love is easier.
