Prepared an emergency response file for myself and left it with parents. In case something happens, they must know and be able to access all my investments, bank a/c and FD etc. This is important not just for elders but for young people too. Life is fragile. Being prepared helps

I didn’t follow any template or website but just asked myself “If I die today, how will my parents know & access/retrieve my hard earned ₹ & investments?What is most important info they need to know
easily?” The answers followed these questions. I printed, wrote& made the file

We keep seeing so many such stories and yet we delay making this. Why?

I have also included loan/debt info.

1. Clear record of what I owe people. My loans etc

2. What people owe me. How much. When did they take it etc.

Include print outs, chat screenshots, contract, stamp paper whatever

This Dad is a C.A and he made meticulous files and print outs to help his wife and daughter manage but on the other hand, her in laws refused to do this saying “oh you are greedy for our money and property?”
